artMRKT Hamptons: The Food

The opening preview of artMRKT Hamptons in Bridgehampton yesterday not only revealed an exciting lineup of galleries and artists, the event is also serving up some pretty delicious grub.
Local food truck Montaco and Rickshaw Dumpling Bar’s food truck from Brooklyn were both on hand with some tasty eats.
The Montaco taco truck originated in Montauk but spends winters in Miami, Florida. Their tag line is “Hecho con Amor” or “Made with Love” and the truck says they only serve the freshest food with the purest ingredients. Check out Montaco at montacotruck.com.
Rickshaw Dumpling Bar has three New York City locations, as well as the food truck, which the restaurant group sends to various events and to spots around the city. The truck is beautifully painted in the style of Maoist propaganda or the work of pop;ular street artist Shepard Fairey, who was inspired by the Chinese Communist posters. Rickshaw is creating a new dumpling culture with super fresh ingredients and lots of interesting offerings, including their award-winning Chocolate Shanghai Soup Dumplings.
