The song was ridiculously successful in the U.S. on the Billboard charts and held a top position for 76 weeks on the Hot 100, which is the current record for most weeks spent on the chart.

With its calming chorus and friendly lyrics, “I’m Yours” appeals to everybody, even the nerdy guy at the beach who is too skinny to take his shirt off but wants to stand out in the crowd by donning a fedora. You know who you are.
