The Top 100 Songs of Summer countdown is almost half way through, and the musical decisions we face are getting aharder and harder. But let’s face it, Jason Mraz invented the summer time fedora look for the next generation, so we must give a tip of the hat to him.

Hamptons 100 Songs of Summer #55

“I’m Yours” by Jason Mraz

The hit song hit the airwaves in the summer of 2005, and it’s a fan favorite for those who are looking to chill out on the beach and relax. With its calming chorus and friendly lyrics, “I’m Yours” appeals to everybody, even the nerdy guy at the beach who is too skinny to take his shirt off but wants to stand out in the crowd by donning a fedora. You know who you are.

Come on and open up your mind and see like me

(I won’t hesitate)

Open up your plans and damn you’re free

(No more, no more)

Look into your heart and you’ll find that the sky is yours

(It cannot wait, I’m sure)
So please don’t, there’s no need

(There’s no need to complicate)There’s no need to complicate

(Our time is short)’Cause our time is short

(This is our fate)

This is, this is, this is our fate

I’m yours
