North Fork Education Initiative Fundraiser at Golden Earthworm Farm
The North Fork Education Initiative has announced their second annual “Share” fundraiser and cocktail reception to be held at Golden Earthworm Organic Farm in Jamesport on Sunday, August 11 from 5-8 p.m.
The event will feature top local chefs, food and wine from North and South Fork farms and vineyards, as well as live music and a silent auction. All proceeds will benefit Peconic Community School, an alternative, accessible educational option for early childhood and K-5, now celebrating its second year of operation.
Guests at this event will have a unique opportunity to experience an enchanting evening with food prepared by acclaimed local chefs amidst the picturesque backdrop of Golden Earthworm Organic Farm. Chef Michael Meehan of H20 in Smithtown is the evening’s Head Chef, while Chef Lia Stanco Fallon from the Riverhead Project, Chef Todd Jacobs of Fresh Hamptons and Chef Noah Schwartz of Noah’s will also be contributing.
Joe & Liza’s Ice Cream, Blind Bat Brewery, Jamesport Vineyards, and Shinn Estate Vineyards are also among the businesses participating.
Guests will also enjoy upbeat live music by Soul Jazz Train Express and learn more about Peconic Community School’s educational approach through a special guest speaker and a showcase of student work. The silent auction will offer opportunities to bid on experiences celebrating the richness of the region, ranging from VIP golf packages at Sebonack Golf Club, a VIP dinner in the private dining room in Ballo at Mohegan Sun, and having Joe & Liza’s Ice Cream Cart at your next birthday party.
Tickets are $75 at peconiccommunityschool.org/events. A portion of each ticket is considered a tax-deductible donation.
