HBO's Girls Season 3 Promo Features North Fork Locations
East Enders have been looking forward to Season 3 of HBO’s Girls, especially since we learned Hannah Horvath and company would be heading out to the North Fork in at least one episode. Thankfully, HBO released a little video preview to hold us over and share the scoop on Girls Season 3 while we await the January 12, 2014 premiere. If you look carefully, the last few scenes appear to feature the North Fork locations
Girls director Jesse Peretz owns a home in Greenport and they filmed there and in East Marion back in June.
As for what’s revealed in the video below: It looks like Hannah (played by Lena Dunham) is back with Adam (Adam Driver), as expected after the Season 2 finale, and she’s back in the good graces of her snooty book editor, which is quite a departure from her train-wreck of a life in the previous season. Jessa (Jemima Kirke) returns after bolting on Hannah last season and, since every shot we see of her is in the country, it appears she’s the reason they visit the North Fork. Maybe she’s found a peaceful respite there?
Meanwhile, the hapless Ray (Alex Karpovsky) has found his niche as a “coffee impresario” in Brooklyn and Marnie (Allison Williams), who is recovering from her failed relationships, is working at his shop and “manically grieving.” Ray’s ex, the newly-single Shoshanna (Zosia Mamet) is now exploring her sexual self and it looks like her escapades will be a hoot to watch. Hannah’s gay ex-boyfriend and pal Elijah (Andrew Rannells) is also back in regular rotation.
This all seems like a pretty good place to start. We’ll have to wait until January to see where it goes. Girls Season 3 begins in just 83 days, on Sunday, January 12, 2014 on HBO.
