New culture and arts venue People Say will have its grand opening event—an open mic for musicians, poets and comedians—on Saturday, November 23.

Located at the Water Mill Shoppes, on the second floor of the building that formerly housed Avanti Culinary Market and Citarella, People Say will feature visual and performance art. Saturday’s inaugural event is hosted by Dominique Lamboy and New York City comedian David Rey Martinez will emcee the open mic. DJ Twilo will provide music and works by painter Alexandria Lira will be on display.

The Salted Fig provides food and Southampton Wines will have a wine tasting from 6 to 7 p.m.

The event is from 7 to 11 p.m. The cover is $5 and guests must be 18 or older.
