Police Search for Burglars Who Torched SUV

A day after a Southampton Village home was burglarized and two televisions, some jewelry, a safe, cash and a 2012 Jeep Liberty were stolen, the SUV was found burned in the woods, according to police.

Village police say investigators believe there were several burglars during the November 14 burglary on Pheasant Close North.

Now village police and Suffolk County Crime Stoppers are asking the public for information leading to an arrest—and offering a cash reward of up to $5,000. Police said anyone with information may anonymously call 1-800-220-TIPS.
