Bridgehampton Half-Marathon Donates $20,000

The organizers of the inaugural Bridgehampton Half-Marathon, which was held during Mother’s Day weekend, have made two large donations to local nonprofits.

One $10,000 check was presented to Bridgehampton Museum-formerly Bridgehampton Historical Society—and a second $10,000 donation was made to Southampton Hospital.

The sold-out half-marathon May 10 had 1,200 registrants. The second annual race is planned May 9, 2015.

The donations were primarily raised through runners’ race fees, through the race was sponsored by JetBlue and Bridgehampton National Bank.
