Georgina Bloomberg, daughter of Southampton resident and former NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg, is the guest of honor at the Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation’s upcoming 5th annual Unconditional Love Dinner Dance Gala.

Bloomberg will be recognized for her work as an advocate for homeless and abused animals at the July 19th benefit.

Bloomberg, an accomplished equestrian and author, is well known on the East End as an animal lover. The former Hampton Classic rider spoke out against the mistreatment of horse-drawn carriage animals in New York City and also received honors from the Humane Society of New York for her services.

SASF’s annual gala will take place this year at a private oceanfront estate in Southampton, with the exact location only divulged to ticket holders. In addition to honoring Bloomberg, the James Bond-themed evening includes a live auction, dinner and music from the Alex Donner Orchestra.

The evening begins with a cocktail hour at 6:30 p.m. followed by the formal dinner from 7:45 to 11 p.m. Amy Freeze of ABC will serve as Master of Ceremonies with George McNeely as the live auctioneer. Chairwoman of SASF Jean Shafiroff and board President Jonathan McCann will also host.

Tickets are available at southamptonanimalshelter.com. Prices range from $175 for a Junior After Dinner Ticket, which includes post-9 p.m. entry for anyone under 35 years, to a Platinum Vice Chair ticket at $50,000. A limited number of individual tickets are available for $500 each. When those run out, only $1,000 individual tickets  and $2,500 preferred seating individual tickets will remain.
