The Concept Collective Launches “Summer in the Hamptons” at Prince of Scots. It’s an eclectic, yet carefully merchandised arrival for the Hamptons—including Italian leather handbags by San Francisco-based 49 Square Miles; architecturally inspired eyewear by Haze Collective in ultra premium vibrant hues; Brooklyn based jewelry by AEA, which distills a mix of abstract forms and futuristic influences into clean, modern monuments; dresses by Yumi Kim in vintage silhouettes spun with a contemporary urban feminine mystique; and hand-woven Moroccan loafers by Cobra Society. Prince of Scots is located at 700 Montauk Hwy in Water Mill. Call 631-604-1392 or visit princeofscots.com.

Missoni Home Southampton welcomes the 2014 collection as the Italian textile brand’s only Missoni Home retail store in North America. Southampton store owner Roxane Mosleh, who comes from an interior design and retail background, is excited to welcome local customers with the newest designs and a series of events throughout the summer. Mark your calendars for July 26, the Missoni Home Hamptons sale event at 50 Jobs Lane in Southampton—enjoy Prosecco, music and the store’s lovely backyard while you shop. August 24–31, Missoni Home will have a pop-up shop on site at The Hampton Classic, 240 Snake Hollow Road, Bridgehampton, and will participate in the yearly table décor competition. Call 631-353-3700 or visit missonihome.com.

The K Ritt Jewelry line will be launching a limited edition art jewelry line in collaboration with renowned artist Arlene Slavin (whose work is shown in places like The Met). The wearable art necklaces and earrings are vibrant and comprised of hand-mixed pigmented vinyl utilized in Salvin’s large-scale sculptures. The limited edition jewelry line inspired by and using materials from Slavin’s newly installed sculpture installation Intersections at East Hampton’s Guild Hall, will be for sale at Guild Hall and online at krittjewelry.com.

Sometimes keeping it simple means doing your shopping in one town—or on one street, for that matter. Maybe even one store. Vilebrequin now carries swimwear for the ladies! The St. Tropez-inspired men’s swimwear line, popular with the Southampton Village crowd, has expanded their line to include hyper-cute bikinis. Stop by at 42 Jobs Lane in Southampton, call 631-204-1530 or visit vilebrequin.com.

Sag Harbor Rum is the newest addition to the Hamptons beverage scene, having made its debut in liquor stores May 1. This rum stands apart from its mass-produced brethren, with a distinctive taste that is the result of an infusion of spices and fruits and of being aged in bourbon barrels. Served neat, the rum is smooth and enjoyable to sip. On the rocks, more of the spice flavors come through. It is a perfect summer drink that can also complement your dinner. For a map of stores, bars and restaurants that carry Sag Harbor Rum, and for suggested drink recipes, visit sagharborrum.com.

You don’t have to choose between spraying your family with chemicals and letting the onslaught of mosquitoes at dusk drive your summer fun indoors. There is a new alternative out of Sag Harbor. Founder Julia Bitton has introduced Dr. Fedorenko True Organic Bug Stick and Bug Bar. These hydrating lotions infused with essential oils smell much better than bug spray and are all-natural. The Bug Bar comes in a tin convenient for pocket or purse. The Bug Stick actually resembles a stick of deodorant, but this convenient way to roll-on protection all over will repel mosquitoes, ticks, gnats, horseflies and more for up to four hours. Visit drfedorenko.com.
