2014 Dan's Papers Literary Prize for Nonfiction Award Ceremony

Between April 1 and August 1, 2014, more than 250 writers competed in Dan’s Papers $6,000 Literary Prize for Nonfiction. Entrants were asked to submit nonfiction work between 600 and 1,500 words. This could be biography, an account of a day, opinion, history, profile of a person or institution, memoir, essay or humor. The works were required to reference eastern Long Island in a meaningful way. The winners of this competition were announced at the awards ceremony. The top winner was Eve Eliot. Runners ups were Matthew McGevna and Shay Lower.
