The Be-In Festival comes to Painters August 23.

The 23rd annual Be-In Festival will be hosted by Painters’ Restaurant (416 S Country Rd, Brookhaven), on Saturday, August 23, from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Be-In Festival is a grassroots music festival that started in 1988. From its beginnings and through today, the festival aims to establish a better community through music, charity and positive thinking.

“We are all part of an inter-connected web of existence,” states the Be-In website, beinfestival.org. “We touch each other’s lives and why not make that a good, positive experience?”

Be-In festival benefits WBAI 99.5 FM, and Little Flower Children and Family Services of New York. A toy and toiletry drive for Little Flower will be set up at the event.
