Dan's Papers Staffer Takes ALS Ice Bucket Challenge
By now your must have heard of the Ice Bucket Challenge, in which someone dumps a bucket of ice water on his head and challenges three others to do the same—and videotape it—within 24 hours or donate $100 to an ALS charity.
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, often called Lou Gehrig’s Disease, is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain, according to the ALS Association. It gradually takes away its victim’s ability to move, eventually causing death.
To date, the Ice Bucket Challenge has helped raised $40 million for the ALS Association and raised awareness immensely.
Lee received the challenge from friend Matt Iesenberg. In addition to getting doused in ice water, Lee also donated money to ALSA.
Here is Lee’s challenge video:
Lee put the challenge out to Tim Rissmiller, Dan’s Papers’ graphic designer Flora Cannon and Hamptons Police Blotterist Dan Koontz.
