Hamptons summer visitor Bill Clinton is headed back to Long Island Wednesday, but this time it’s not for vacation. The former president will be stumping for incumbent Congressman Tim Bishop, of Southampton.

The campaign rally will take place at Stony Brook University’s Staller Center at 5 p.m. Wednesday. The lineup also includes Congressman Steve Israel, of Huntington, and the Stony Brook College Democrats.

This is a ticketed event for Stony Brook University students.

Bishop, a Democrat, is facing a challenge from Republican New York State Senator Lee Zeldin, of Shirley. Election Day is November 4.
