East Deck Motel, located in Montauk’s surfer haven Ditch Plains, is for sale once again, less than two years after it changed hands for $15 million.

In 2013 a group of investors that reportedly includes Vitaminwater cofounder Mike Repole bought the 30-unit motel with the intention of turning it into a private, members-only beach club. However, the plans were met with resistence from locals and the municipal boards that would need to give their approval were not keen on the idea either. The Town of East Hampton even floated the idea of purchasing the property itself

Sotheby’s International Realty now lists East Deck for $25 million. According to the listing, the 10,544-square-foot one-story building on 5.06 acres has 360 feet of oceanfront.

Amenities include a coffee shop, decking, a playground, ample parking, a garage and a swimming pool.

Architect David Adjaye has prepared a state-of-the-art design plan, according to Sotheby’s.
