As we sit on the cusp of summer and all that it brings, it’s time to look at the top dogs in our various Dan’s Best of the Best categories from the Hamptons and North Fork.
While we’re talking top dogs, the Pets category is full of great human beings, organizations and businesses dedicated to our local dogs and cats.
Our region’s Best of the Best volunteers for pet rescue and the shelters that care for those wayward, four-legged souls should be recognized for their great service.
L.I. Kitties in Speonk is so beloved by East Enders, it earned the Platinum distinction on the North Fork and South Fork lists. The nonprofit org is a no-kill group dedicated to rescue and placement of homeless or stray cats and kittens. They foster and socialize (when needed) cats, care for their veterinary needs, and then place them in loving homes—and they do it with no federal or state assistance. Call 631-987-8152, email email@example.com or visit likitties.com to make an appointment and meet available cats.
