To be clear, this isn’t a real Christmas light display. This is an invention by ClickHole (sister website to The Onion) to mock all those viral videos of Christmas lights synced to music.
After watching enough of those videos, they get to the point where they are all the same. Until now, that is. Rather than music, this Christmas lights display is set to Amagansett actor Alec Baldwin‘s famous “Coffee is for closers” speech from Glengarry Glen Ross. In the 1992 film adaptation of David Mamet’s play, Baldwin plays sales motivator Blake, whose motivation style includes demeaning statements, slurs and the threat of being fired.
