Noah’s

In the search for a special holiday dining spot, a New Year’s Eve night out, gifts for the foodies on your list and more, local is the tastiest way to go.

Since opening in 2010, noah’s in Greenport has received numerous accolades and Chef Noah has been lauded by Best Chefs America in both 2012 and 2013. Known for its trademark seafood-inspired small plates featuring locally sourced ingredients, noah’s boasts a raw bar with fresh oysters shucked to order, as well as an extensive wine list that features one of the largest selections of local vintages, all hand-picked by Wine Director Sunita Schwartz. On New Year’s Eve, noah’s will be offering a chef’s tasting menu with seven courses paired with sparkling wines, called appropriately enough sparkling years. noah’s will also be offering a limited à la cart menu of our restaurant’s favorites. For more information, call 631-477-6720 or visit chefnoahs.com.

Amagansett Sea Salt is crafted entirely by hand in small batches from seawater harvested from the Atlantic Ocean. All steps—from the ocean to the jar—take place in the small, oceanfront hamlet of Amagansett using a process that is entirely natural, requiring only the sun, the wind, a strong back and patience. By carefully balancing solar evaporation and exposure to the crisp, clear ocean breezes, Amagansett Sea Salt forms slowly into crystals with a mild, sweet flavor and a distinctive soft “crunch” that enhances any food. This hand-harvested sea salt is the choice of award winning chefs and restaurants across the Hamptons, New York City and the country. Used as a finishing salt, Amagansett Sea Salt enhances the flavor and texture of everything it touches—and makes a great holiday gift! For more information, call 631-731-3052/3053 or visit amagansettseasalt.com.

It takes a village to make sure the Hamptons are thought of as a vacation spot not just in the summer months, but all year long. One of the ways Southampton works together is by reaching visitors directly. An annual offering, Southampton Inn has gathered coupons, offers and invites from Southampton retailers—including the Southampton Historical Museum, Corwin’s Main Street Jewelers, Hildreth’s, Perfect Purse, Cashmere Outlet, Twist Clothing, Southampton Books (formerly BookHampton), White’s Apothecary, Ralph Lauren, Vineyard Vines, Michael Kors and Aunt Suzie’s—for its December guests. All hotel guests receive a holiday stocking filled with these coupons, gifts and candy. And to keep the celebratory spirit in full swing, the Inn’s 18th Annual New Year’s Eve gala kicks off on December 31 at 4 p.m. with a candlelight tour of the historic Rogers Mansion with cider and gingerbread. Guests stroll back from the Historical Museum to the Southampton Inn to enjoy Prosecco and cheese in the library until 7 p.m. when the official cocktail hour begins in Cafe OSO’s bar, with an open bar and hors d’oeuvres. Dinner is being catered by the iconic Brent Newsom Caterers, and begins at 8 p.m. The night also includes DJ, dancing, watching the ball drop, a champagne toast and fun photos. Overnight guests will also enjoy a complimentary early check in on New Year’s Eve, late checkout on New Year’s Day, and included breakfast in Cafe OSO. For more information, call 631-283-6500 or visit southamptoninn.com.
