Alec Baldwin's Trump, ScarJo & Cast Sing 'Hallelujah' in SNL Season Finale
Dressed in his Donald Trump costume, Amagansett’s Alec Baldwin concluded the 42nd season of Saturday Night Live, which he helped make must-see TV, by singing the remarkably apropos “Hallelujah” in the cold open sketch on Saturday. He was joined by Kate McKinnon as Kellyanne Conway, Beck Bennett as Mike Pence, Alex Moffat as Eric Trump, Mikey Day as Donald Trump Jr., Aidy Bryant as Sarah Huckabee Sanders, the Grim Reaper costume representing Steve Bannon, Cecily Strong as Melania Trump and…drum roll…Hamptonite Scarlett Johansson as Ivanka Trump!
This was clearly a callback to earlier in the season when McKinnon, as Hillary Clinton, sang “Hallelujah” after the Democratic candidate lost the election to Trump.
The episode was hosted by Duane “The Rock” Johnson and, as it was his fifth time in the SNL host role, Baldwin presented him with a “five-timer” smoking jacket after his opening monologue. Baldwin, of course, is the king of SNL hosts with 17 episodes under his belt—and that’s not including guest appearances, such as his many turns as Trump this season.
