Shelter Island residents are entitled to a free resident parking sticker that is good through January 1, 2025, and can obtain one by sending a photo of their car registration to the Town Clerk’s office via mail, fax or preferably email (townclerk@shelterislandtown.us). Seasonal visitor parking permits are required through Labor Day, and non-residents staying on Shelter Island may purchase one by calling 631-749-1166. No day passes will be offered this year. Social distancing is required at all beaches, and restrooms will remain closed until. At least, June 27.
