Beach Parking Permits Required at Southampton Town Beaches Through September

Southampton Town will require beach parking permits through the month of September, in part thanks to how many people are staying out east past Labor Day.

On weekdays and weekends, starting Tuesday, September 9, permits are required at all beaches and town or trustee access roads that require permits during the summer by town code or executive order. These include Ponquogue Beach in Hampton Bays, Sagg Main in Sagaponack and Long Beach in Sag Harbor.

There will be no staff on weekdays at beach locations, but there will be a parking attendant checking to ensure the beach only has 50% capacity.

On weekends, Ponquogue and Sagg Main beaches will be staffed with lifeguards and attendants. Daily permits will be sold at these two locations.

There will be no staff at the other six beach locations. But parking attendants will still check for beach capacity.
