Westhampton Beach has declared war on people dumping their garbage into public trash bins. The issue is that people are using the public trash bins to throw out their household garbage to save money on going to the dump.
Well be warned folks, a sting operation is currently in place and public employees are now standing back and watching the public bins, in search of any offenders. If caught, a $250 fine will be issued.
I got news for you Westhampton. The guy that cannot afford to throw his garbage out at the dump can’t afford a $250 fine.
