Lincoln Opens

East Hampton resident and world famous director Steven Spielberg‘s latest epic Lincoln opened nationwide on Friday, November 16. The film starring Daniel Day-Lewis as the 16th president had a limited release on November 9, and it is already getting mostly rave reviews. We’d love to read your thoughts in the comments below.

Lincoln chronicles the last few months of his presidency and his battle to pass the 13th Amendment to Constitution and abolish slavery, all while the Civil War continues to rage. Also starring Tommy Lee Jones, Sally Field, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and David Strathairn, the film is rated PG-13 and runs 2hrs 30min.

It’s playing at East Hampton‘s UA theater and Mattituck Cinemas on the North Fork. Click here for a preview.
