Want to be a famous artist and have your work admired by thousands? You could be well on your way. Just skip over all that struggling, starving artist stuff and create a piece of promotional art for one of the biggest events on the East End.

All For The East End (AFTEE) announces a call to artists, seeking a piece of original art to be the visual focal point for AFTEE Dance Party-East End, the organization’s first annual fundraising concert, on August 19 at Martha Clara Vineyards. The winning piece of art will be used on AFTEE’s website and signature concert tee shirt. The winner will also receive VIP tickets to the concert, announcements in the media, introduction at the concert and display of their art in the VIP tent, plus tickets to the AFTEE Family Festival day activities.

Deadline for submission is May 15, 2013.  For more details on the art contest, visit aftee.org or enter directly at DansHamptons.com!

AFTEE is dedicated to supporting the critical contributions made every day by the not-for-profit community of Long Island’s five East End towns: Riverhead, Southampton, Southold, Shelter Island and East Hampton.

Dan’s Papers is also supporting AFTEE as Dan’s Taste of Two Forks beneficiary, July 12-13 at Sayre Park in Bridgehampton, see danstasteoftwoforks.com for more info.

“Supporting AFTEE was an easy decision for Dan’s Papers and danshamptons.com. Our print and digital footprint blankets all East End communities year round, including Southampton, East Hampton, Riverhead, Southold and Shelter Island. As a company that has served these communities for over 50 years we recognize and support the strong commitment AFTEE has made to all East End nonprofits. Dan’s Papers envisions no better way to demonstrate our loyalty and devotion to this, our community, our readers and the businesses we serve” said Bob Edelman, Chief Executive Officer, Dan’s Papers LLC.

“The excitement is building!” said Mary Morgan, Executive Director. “Everyone we speak to is very enthusiastic about this new venture, which will be a great community gathering for all ages.  We are looking forward to featuring a wonderful, exciting, upbeat image created by a local artist as our visual focal point.”  Mary can be reached at mary@aftee.org or by calling 631-599-9297.

ALL FOR THE EAST END is a 501(c)(3) non-profit establishment whose primary purpose is to raise awareness of the role all not-for-profit organizations play in making the east end of Long Island one of the most desirable places to live in the world. In December 2012 AFTEE received a grant of $15,000 from the Long Island Community Foundation to help with the production costs of producing an all day music festival to raise money for the East End not-for-profits. The Long Island Community Foundation will manage and administer the disbursement of funds obtained through AFTEE’s efforts. With over 1,075 registered 501(c)(3) organizations in the East End towns and a budget projected to raise $300,000, this program can easily benefit over 100,000 people.
