Cooper bought the 2.4-acre Quiogue estate fronting Aspatuck Creek for $1.7 million in late 2011. It’s where the late Budd Schulberg (1914-2009) wrote the Academy Award-winning screenplay for the 1950s classic On the Waterfront.
It includes 6 bedrooms, 5 and a half baths.

According to the Douglas Elliman listing, the St. George Place property was recently renovated and was decorated by a designer. “Elegant and appealing at every turn, the main house features a waterfront great room with built-ins, a brick fireplace, cedar vaulted ceiling, peg wood floors, and French doors leading to the waterfront patio,” the listing states. “There’s also a cozy den with brick fireplace and 60-inch television, a white chef’s kitchen with honed granite counters, and a dining area where you can watch the swans glide by.”
The estate also includes a 20′-by-40′ heated Gunite pool with jacuzzi, and a pool house with full bath.
Rather than $150,000 for the full season, it may also be rented for $30,000 for the month of June, $60,000 for July or $80,000 for August through Labor Day.
