Friday mornings the most fun and informative East End radio program hits the airwaves as the Media Mavens get behind their microphones at the WPPB 88.3 studio in Southampton Village.

The Media Mavens are editors at Hamptons newspapers and publications, and the Media Mavens show is hosted by WPPB’s Bonnie Grice as part of her daily Eclectic Cafe morning program.

This Friday, March 7, myself, Dan’s Papers web editor Brendan J. O’Reilly, and Kathryn Menu, the editor and co-publisher of The Sag Harbor Express, will be back in the studio. Michelle Trauring, the new features editor for The Press Newsgroup, will make her Mavens debut.

Our unscripted conversations focus on local news and happenings as well as national topics of interest. We aim to keep listeners apprised of the hottest in East End news, while keeping the tone light. Rather than just reading the news, we offer insights and often the “story behind the story.”

It is also a good way to prepare for the weekend, because the Mavens always know the best performances and events that are coming up.

Tune in Fridays at 9:06 a.m. to 88.3 FM WPPB or listen to the live stream at peconicpublicbroadcasting.com. Each Friday’s show rebroadcasts Saturday at 8:06 a.m.
