So many people love dragonflies and what they symbolize.

The dragonfly, in almost every part of the world symbolizes change in perspective—the kind of change that has its source in emotional intelligence and awareness of the spiritual side of life.

In China, people associate the dragonfly with prosperity, harmony and see it as a good luck charm. Amongst Native Americans, it is a sign of happiness, speed and purity. In the Japanese culture, the dragonfly was revered as a symbol of light-heartedness and joy, as well as strength, courage and good luck. The Samurai even used it as a symbol of power, agility and victory.

The dragonfly’s iridescent wings are incredibly sensitive to the slightest breeze, and so we are reminded to heed where the wind blows, in case we run into rough weather. The power of dragonfly lies in its ability to see around things by looking from different angles, as it transforms color and light by reflecting and refracting them.

When you wear the symbol of the dragonfly, be aware of the gifts it has to offer—that life, like light, can bend, shift and adapt in various ways.

The dragonfly is a water creature, and water symbolizes emotions, the subconscious mind and deep feelings. This is the reason why dragonflies are said to remind us to pay heed to our dreams and wishes, because our attitude is not only influenced by the external world and people around us, but also our deepest belief system.
