Hampton Coffee Company to Open First North Fork Location
The whole East End will now be properly caffeinated—Hampton Coffee Company is expanding to the North Fork. A new Aquebogue location set to open this fall, pending further approvals from Riverhead Town.
“It’s an old 1940s service station, which keeps our tradition of operating out of old car places going,” says co-owner Jason Belkin. The Southampton location was an old Mini dealership; the Water Mill location was also a garage and gas station in the ’40s; and the Westhampton Beach location was once a gas station. Like the Water Mill location, the new Route 25 shop will display photographs of the building from the ’40s.
The store will be like a combination of the Southampton Coffee Experience Store and the Westhampton Beach location, with a small menu of wraps and soups and a pour-over coffee bar. The Water Mill location is a coffee shop as well as a full-service café.
Like its other three shops, Hampton Coffee Company plans to keep the Aquebogue location open year-round. Belkin anticipates that the Aquebogue location will quickly gather regulars, as many people, particularly tradesmen, have noted that they spend at least one day a week on the North Fork. The Aquebogue shop is about 15 minutes away from the one in Westhampton Beach, making the trip to grab your morning cup of locally roasted Joe that much easier.
