Townline BBQ Quiz Night Season Begins Thursday

Quiz Night pits teams against each other for six rounds that test their trivial knowledge. Each round is on a different topic, and topics change each week. For four of the rounds, quizmaster Paul Johnson reads off the questions. One round has an activity sheet, and the final round is always audio, with TV and film quotes or music.

The top three teams each Thursday go home with cash, and Townline BBQ gift cards are awarded for the best scores during certain rounds. Quiz participants also enjoy discounts on food and drink.

The cost to participate is $10 per player, with all of the money collected going to the winning teams. Teams may have a maximum of five players—larger teams can play, but they will have points deducted from their score.

Teams who come back frequently can compete for the Townline Trophy for Trivia Excellence, awarded to the team that racks up the most top-three finishes through May. Last season’s champions were My Dixie Wrecked. The Know It Ales came in second for the season and the Dan’s Papers trivia team was in third.

Quiz Night is held Thursdays beginning at 7 p.m.
