Amy Zerner's Fashion Sense: Unique Print Designs
Digital prints have been a very trendy style for a few seasons, and, as an artist, I have been experimenting with them a lot lately.
Dramatic motifs made from artworks and photographs create an amazing look when imposed upon and across dresses, tops, scarfs- you name it. Digital prints can be made to fit a garment precisely and encircle the whole garment completely. Popular styles of digital prints are bold, almost surrealistic and psychedelic motifs.
The most adventurous and artistically motivated designers are leaders in the digital-print movement, especially Mary Katrantzou.
Not everyone is going to go for such daring patterns, but you can add a purse, shoes or accessory that bring the digital trend to your wardrobe. The array of choices now is so broad, you’re bound to find something that suits your taste.
Prints attract attention so place them over the part of your body that is the smallest. If you have a big bottom you may want a print on your top instead of down below. Jersey material makes it great for traveling.
I have spent a lot of time creating unique print designs based on my tapestry art, purpose-printed for each piece of clothing and manipulated to fit tops, tote bags and shawls.
