Catch Local Actress in 'The Sound of Music Live!' Rebroadcast Saturday
This Saturday, December 20, NBC will re-air The Sound of Music Live!, offering another opportunity to see Southold teen Ella Watts-Gorman perform.
Watts-Gorman plays Louisa, the third oldest of the von Trapp children. Carrie Underwood stars as Maria von Trapp.
The broadcast also includes True Blood star Stephen Moyer as Captain von Trapp, Tony- and Grammy-winner Audra McDonald as Mother Abbess and Tony-nominee Laura Benanti as Elsa Schrader.
The Sound of Music Live! proved to be a massive commercial success for NBC in 2013, being watched by 18 million viewers.
Watts-Gorman’s theater credits include the title role in Annie at Riverhead High School, and roles in Kiss Me Kate, The Wizard of Oz and Thoroughly Modern Millie.
The three-hour broadcast begins at 8 p.m. Saturday.
