Amagansett Sea Salt was named first runner up for Best in Show at the International Restaurant & Foodservice Show of New York over the weekend.
Thousands of attendees voted for their favorite products in the Innovative New Product Gallery at the Jacob Javitz Convention Center.
Amagansett Sea Salt’s solar-evaporated finishing salts are made in Amagansett. In 2013, the product was featured on the Barefoot Contessa episode “Local Food Heroes.”
There are a number of varieties of the product, including the Merlot blend, made with local wine, and the Madagascar vanilla salt.
