‘Some Like It Hot’ Screens Friday Outdoors at Southampton Arts Center

Southampton Arts Center will hold a free outdoor screening of the 1958 Marilyn Monroe film Some Like It Hot this Friday, July 17.

Directed by Billy Wilder, the comedy also stars Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon.

Curtis and Lemmon play musicians who, after witnessing a mob hit in Chicago, go into hiding by posing as women in an all-female jazz band bound for Florida. Monroe plays sultry sing Sugar.

The film starts at 8:30 p.m. Friday, presented in conjunction with Hamptons International Film Festival and sponsored by Dan’s Papers. Bring a blanket or low chairs, and a picnic.
