Paddlers for Humanity 10th Annual Block Island Challenge
SATURDAY, AUGUST 29: On Saturday, August 29, Paddlers for Humanity will host an 18-mile open ocean paddle from Montauk to Block Island. Starting at 6:30 a.m., the six hour-long paddle will begin on the north side of the Montauk Lighthouse and end at Champlin’s Marina. Once on Block Island, paddlers will celebrate their accomplishment with a catered meal and a ceremony thanking paddlers, support boat volunteers, friends and donors. A return ferry ride to Montauk courtesy of the Montauk-Block Island Ferry from Viking Fleet departs Block Island at 5 p.m. The event supports Paddlers for Humanity, a non-profit organization based in East Hampton dedicated to bettering children’s lives.
