“Sofia’s Story,” an ITP awareness and fundraiser event hosted by Krystal Ellis at Agawam Park in Southampton, brought together the community in support of the Platelet Disorder Support Association (PDSA) and raised $5,000 for their ongoing mission to provide resources, support families, and drive research efforts towards a cure.

The event aimed to raise awareness about Immune Thrombocytopenic Purpura (ITP), a rare blood disorder that Ellis’ daughter, Sofia, was diagnosed with. Sofia’s twin sister, Lila, ran a lemonade stand, alongside a food truck, live band, arts and crafts, and games for all ages.
