Chili and Chowder Champions on Two Forks

Looking for the top chowder and chili on the East End? Look no further. Best in Show honors at the Chowder Contest at the Greenport Maritime Festival went to relative newcomer Salt (which opened its doors on Shelter Island this past summer), followed by Blue Canoe (which also took top honors as the People’s Choice winner) and Noah’s.

On the South Fork, the Hampton Bays 14th Annual Chili/Chowder Contest saw 1 North Steakhouse (above) take first in the Judges Choice category for Chili, while Bruce Wilkie won top Peoples Choice honors for his perfectly spicy concoction. Chef David Hersh and Cowfish were crowned champions on the Chowder competition.
