Nile Rogers to Announce AFTEE Dance Party Headliner
Renowned producer Nile Rodgers will be announcing the headlining act for this summer’s BNB presents—AFTEE’s Nile Rodgers Dance Party at a press conference on Thursday, June 7.
The Dance Party event, which takes place at Martha Clara Vineyards on Monday, August 19, rain or shine, will include various performers and DJs, including one of the biggest international performers working today. Stay tuned to find out who Rodgers has topping the bill.
Rodgers founded 1970s band Chic, which recorded numerous hits, including Dance Dance Dance, Everybody Dance, I Want Your Love, Le Freak (Aw Freak Out!), Good Times, Greatest Dancer, We Are Family, I’m Coming Out, Upside Down, Like A Virgin and Let’s Dance, to name a few. His Chic songs are widely sampled in the world of hip hop, and Rodgers has also produced some of the biggest hits by Madonna, David Bowie, Duran Duran and Diana Ross, among others.
A dance music genius, Rodgers also co-wrote and plays guitar on “Get Lucky,” Daft Punk’s mega-hit anthem for summer, which has already broken records for being the first song in history to reach #1 in 73 countries and counting.
Rodgers will curate the Dance Party and Nile Rodgers Productions, Inc. will produce for AFTEE’s inaugural event, which promises to be the greatest dance party the East End has ever seen. Rodgers tells us, “Dance music unites, dance music is happy” and the Nile Rodgers Dance Party will bring all ages to the dance floor.
Proceeds from the concert will support AFTEE’s establishment of an East End Fund.
