Bridgehampton National Bank Opens Shelter Island Branch
Bridgehampton National Bank has expended! The local institution, with outlets across Long Island, has celebrated the opening of its 23rd branch on Shelter Island at 21 North Ferry Road.
“We are excited to open a branch on Shelter Island, bridging the gap between the North and South forks,” President and Chief Executive Officer Kevin O’Connor said. “Shelter Island is an important market, and we look forward to becoming an integral part of the community.”
As part of its efforts to support the local community, BNB will work with the Shelter Island Historical Society to restore 12 historic signs across the island. The Shelter Island branch is located at the site of the first schoolhouse. “We are honored to have the opportunity to creatively partner with the Historical Society, giving the community a way to look back at its history through its landmark signs. As a 100-year-old institution, we understand the importance of history and tradition,” O’Connor added.
The branch will be led by manager Tara Fordham. Fordham recently received the bank’s Service Award for her 15 years at BNB. She began her career as a teller and was most recently the Assistant Manager at the East Hampton branch. The branch team is supported by commercial lending officer Nancy Messer, VP.
Bridgehampton National Bank’s new Shelter Island Branch is open Monday through Thursday 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m., Friday 8:30 a.m.–6 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m.–1 p.m. The ATM is available 24 hours a day.
