Shark Week Returns at Long Island Aquarium in Riverhead

If watching Sharknado or NBC Sports Shark Hunters left you hungry for more, bite into Long Island Aquarium & Exhibition Center’s Shark Week(s). This celebration of all things shark started on Monday, August 5 to coincide with Discovery Channel’s Shark Week programming and will continue through Friday, August 16.
“Shark Week is an annual rite of summer,” said curator Joseph Yaiullo. “So what better way to celebrate it with than a fun-filled visit to our shark-infested aquarium?”
During the two-week event, shark fans will be treated to a frenzy of fun, including interactive games and scavenger hunts, question-and-answer sessions with shark experts and daily behind-the-scenes tours allowing guests access to see sharks from the top of their tank. If that wasn’t enough, the aquarium is offering Shark Dive, a shark tank scuba experience, and shark feeding in their brand-new and unforgettable Shark Keeper program. There’s even a very special Aquarium-only admission discount when you show your Shark Week Spirit, available for download on Facebook only.
