Convos With Helena Bonham Carter, Bruce Dern Planned at HIFF
The 21st annual Hamptons International Film Festival, beginning October 10, will include Helena Bonham Carter and Bruce Dern in its “A Conversation With…” series.
“A Conversation With…” is a live on stage interview of a film star or filmmaker, including questions from the audience.
Bonham Carter will be at the film festival promoting her new film made for BBC Four, Burton and Taylor. She plays Elizabeth Taylor opposite Dominic West as Richard Burton. Burton and Taylor will be screened in the festival’s “U.K. Focus on Film” section.
Bonham Carter is known for her roles in Fight Club, the Harry Potter film series, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, and many more films. Her “Conversation” will be on Saturday, October 12.
Dern co-stars with Saturday Night Live‘s Will Forte in the festival’s Centerpiece film Nebraska, directed by Alexander Payne, who also made Sideways and The Descendants. Dern plays a cantankerous father who drags his son across the heartland to claim a sweepstakes prize. His “Conversation” will be Sunday, October 13.
The exact times and locations of the events, and who will be conducting the interviews, are yet to be announced.
