Riverhead Police Seek Robbers Who Beat Victim
Two assailants robbed and beat a man in Riverhead on Sunday afternoon and now Riverhead police and Suffolk County Crime Stoppers are seeking the public’s help to locate the attackers
Polcie said it was around 12:45 p.m. when the victim, walking on Osborne Avenue near the Long Island Rail Road tracks, was robbed. he was then dragged to an area west of Marcy Avenue, where he was assaulted, according to police. Then the suspects fled on foot and were last seen near Pulaski Street.
Authorities said the suspects are black men in the mid-30s with medium build and short black hair. One was eating all black and the second was wearing a white shirt and blue jeans.
Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest. Anyone with information about this robbery and assault is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS or call the Riverhead Police Department at 631-727-4500 ext. 289. All calls will be kept condidential, police said.
