Amagansett’s Gwyneth Paltrow and A-list celebrity hairstylist David Babaii have joined forces with Blo Blow Dry Bar.
Blo is North America’s original blow dry bar, where scissors and dye are forbidden. Guests choose from seven styles featured in the Blo Hair Menu, from the razor-straight “Executive Sweet” to the runway-inspired “Pillow Talk.” Blo Blow Dry Bar is a place for quick, affordable catwalk-quality blow outs.
Now the Academy Award-winning actress, Hamptonite and People magazine “Most Beautiful” alum has aligned with Blo. Alongside Babaii, Paltrow will offer input in Blo’s creative direction, growth plan and brand strategy. Guests will now get the chance to have their hair styled in accordance to Paltrow’s own creative tastes, most often highlighted in her online lifestyle magazine goop.
In the company’s announcement Wednesday, Blo says they believe Paltrow’s keen business instinct for the latest and hottest trends, as well as her emphasis on high quality customer experience will make her the perfect partner.
“I cannot wait to grow Blo with Gwyneth and David. They are the perfect fit for our company,” Ari Yakobson, Blo Blow Dry Bar’s CEO said. “This combination and a proven business model is [sic] exciting,” Yakobson continued, adding, “This is a tremendous benefit for our current and future franchise partners—our loyal guests are going to love this collaboration.”
Blo aims to spread red carpet glamour to women around the world with quick, convenient and affordable blowouts. New Yorkers can get the Blo celebrity look at four locations: 800 6th Avenue, 325 East 64th Street and 260 East 72nd Street in Manhattan and 50 Glen Cove Road in Greenvale on Long Island. An additional 36 Blo locations can be found throughout the United States, Canada, Manila and Russia. Four more U.S. bars and a London location are scheduled to open soon.
Closer to home, a rep from Blo said they are interested in opening a spot in the Hamptons, and are currently looking for the perfect franchise partners and locations. With Paltrow on board, we’re predicting a Hamptons summer pop-up in 2015—fingers crossed!
