Sporting an awesome beard, Hamptons fan Hugh Jackman spoke to Seth Meyers Thursday night about the new X-Men movie.

The Australian actor, who was a guest on Late Night, plays the mutant Wolverine in the film series. In the clip below, Jackman jokes about having to punch co-star Jennifer Lawrence for a scene, asking Meyers, “How hard do you hit a woman who is one of the biggest movie stars on set?”

Jackman goes on to praise his co-stars, and speaks about avoiding the on-set antics they regularly stirred up.

Days of Future Past is the seventh installment of the X-Men filmfranchise, and also features A-list celebs Lawrence, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender and Halle Berry.

According to the Internet Movie Database, the X-Men in Days of Future Past “send Wolverine to the past in a desperate effort to change history and prevent an event that results in doom for both humans and mutants.” The movie opens in U.S. theaters today.
