Police Seek Man Who Bought Sneakers with Stolen Credit Card
Back in May, a man bought five pairs of sneakers at the Sneaker Aquarium in Riverhead and paid for them with a stolen credit card, according to authorities, and now police are hoping the public can help identify him.
The retail value of the sneakers totaled more than $1,000, according to Suffolk County Crime Stoppers, which is offering a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest.
The man is described as black, 6 feet 3 inches tall, clean shaven with a heavy build. He was wearing dark blue pants and a light blue hospital scrub shirt, with a stethoscope around his neck.
The incident was May 23.
