Animal lover and Southampton resident Beth Stern hosted the 15th anniversary Bash for the Bulldogs Tuesday to benefit the Long Island Bulldog Rescue.

The event took place at Rosenthal Pavilion at New York University’s Kimmel Center.

The crowd of English Bulldog lovers, owners and supporters included Law & Order: SVU’s Ice T and wife Coco Austin with their dogs Spartacus and Maximus. Three-time Emmy winner Cat Greenleaf of Talk Stoop emceed the event.

It was a great evening to meet and mingle with friends and bulldogs, to find unique items for the Holidays and most importantly, $67,000 was raised for the Long Island Bulldog Rescue to help save the lives of these dogs in urgent need of finding their forever homes.

“Right now, many people still see dogs as impulse items or presents,” LIBR executive director Laurette Richinsaid. “That is why we have so many in such urgent need. Dogs should be brought into their families after careful research and conversation with reputable, experienced breeders or rescue agencies.”

Stern is also a supported of Sagaponack-based Gimme Shelter Animal Rescue.

Among the silent auction items Tuesday was Howard Stern‘s autographed bulldog sculpture.

Long Island Bulldog Rescue is located in Stony Brook and serves the Northeast. Visit longislandbulldogrescue.org for more information.
