East End Continues Blizzard Cleanup Wednesday
The Blizzard of 2015, aka Winter Storm Juno, dumped about 2 feet of snow across the East End between Monday and Tuesday, and on Wednesday morning the region is still recovering.
Southampton Town lifted its state of emergency and travel restrictions as of 6 a.m. Wednesday and town facilities will open at noon; meanwhile, East Hampton Town Hall and other town offices are closed Wednesday. Travel restrictions are lifted in East Hampton Town as of 10 a.m.
Most, if not all, schools on the South Fork are closed Wednesday.
Southold Town is reminding residents to keep sidewalks and fire hydrants clear of snow.
