All C. Wonder stores—including the Main Street store in Southampton Village—are closing for good, Buzzfeed reported Monday.
The Southampton Village store will close permanently at 6 p.m. today, Wednesday, January 7. Everything is for sale, including props and furniture, an employee confirmed.
Eyebrows were raised when C. Wonder had a post-holidays 75% off sale. It turns out they weren’t just making room for new stock—the business was preparing to shut down.
C. Wonder has had pop-up shops at the Tanger Outlets in Riverhead and in East Hampton.
The business got its start in 2011. The Southampton Village store began as a summer pop-up in 2012, and stuck around. The brand was created by Chris Burch, the ex-husband of fashion designer Tory Burch.
