Hampton Bays Mourns Paramedic Ralph Oswald

Hampton Bays Volunteer Ambulance Corps lost a member Monday while he was on duty.
Paramedic Ralph Oswald, 64, responded to a call of an unresponsive male at 8:58 a.m. on Monday, February 9. Oswald informed his crew that he was in distress, and immediately collapsed in cardiac arrest, according to the ambulance corps.
Hampton Bays and Southampton Village volunteer ambulance corps both responded and transported Oswald to Southampton Hospital. Despite best efforts both before and after arriving at the hospital, Oswald could not be resuscitated.
Funeral arrangements are pending.
