Winterfest Live on the Vine Returns for 8th Year
Winterfest Live on the Vine returns for its eighth year on Saturday, February 21, and the organizers are boasting the most eclectic offerings yet. The award-winning, six-week midwinter music and performing arts festival will run every Saturday and Sunday, February 21–March 29, and present more than 80 concerts, in over 25 unique North Fork venues.
This year, veteran independent promoter James Faith has been brought on to take the festival “to the next level,” so fans can expect more headliners, a diverse lineup, the addition of non-musical events to the schedule, and a new comprehensive website to enhance the experience and help navigate all the events.
As always, North Fork vineyard tasting rooms, boutique hotels, craft breweries and historic theaters are providing stages—this year for more than 50 emerging artists and headliners, playing jazz, rock, bluegrass, classical, world, singer-songwriter and more. The fest schedule features acts such as Jazz guitarist Stanley Jordan, rockers the Smithereens and 10,000 Maniacs, the legendary Roomful of Blues, jazz trombonist and Downbeat Magazine award-winner Ray Anderson, Americana sweetheart Amy Helm, and Paul Simon bassist Bakithi Kumalo, along with Fuerza Flamenco, Counter Clockwise Ensemble, Miles To Dayton, Kerry Kearney Blues Band, Paul Effman, Buddy Miriam, Jack’s Waterfall, and Reza Khan featuring Painted Diaries, to name a few.
