Hamptons Celebs Make Time's 100 Most Influential People List

Time magazine has released its list of the 100 Most Influential People and a number of Hamptons residents and frequenters were on it, and on top of that a number of East Enders wrote tributes to honorees.
East Hampton’s Mariska Hargitay, best known for her role as Olivia Benson on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, wrote a sweet and complimentary piece about Hamptons visitor Taylor Swift, who named one of her cats Olivia Benson.
Swift wrote about her kitchen idol, Ina Garten, whom she cooked with in her East Hampton kitchen last year.

Kim Kardashian, recognized in the Titans category of the list, was recognized by East Hampton’s Martha Stewart.
Celebrity chef and Mattituck resident Tom Colicchio wrote about Danny Meyer, the chef and television host.
Meadow Lane resident David Koch and brother Charles Koch were also in the Titans category, and presidential contender Rand Paul—who attended East Hampton Library Authors Night last summer—wrote a short tribute titled “Idea Men.”

Bradley Cooper, a frequent Hamptons visitor, made the Most Influential in the Artists category and was the subject of a tribute by Oliver Platt.
Hamptons fan and 2016 presidential candidate Hillary Clinton wrote about Elizabeth Warren, the U.S. senator from Massachusetts. Clinton made the list in the Leaders category and Laurene Powell Jobs wrote the tribute.
Tuckahoe estate owner and former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg penned a tribute for Tom Frieden, the director of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
