Art Southampton's 4th Edition Coming to Nova's Ark Project
Art Southampton, the contemporary and modern art fair in the Hamptons, announced new dates and a new location for its fourth edition.
Nova’s Ark Project, the Water Mill sculpture park, museum and gallery complex will house art from the 20th and 21st centuries from July 9-13 and—new to this year’s Art Southampton—design and decorative arts will also be featured. The fair will highlight some of the East End’s most prolific artists of the past and present.
The fair will open with a VIP preview benefitting the Parrish Art Museum and Southampton Hospital, which will provide collectors, curators, art advisors, architects, designers and decorators the first chance to acquire works from the Post War and Pop eras, with a focus on design and functional art.
Christie’s International Real Estate, an Art Southampton sponsor, will host a booth presenting luxury residential real estate offerings throughout the fair as part of a robust event schedule including on-site cocktail receptions with artists, book signings and daily private tours of some of the East End’s leading artists’ studios and collector homes.
The New York Academy of Art, of which Andy Warhol was among the original founders, will return with guest of honor April Gornik, the Hamptons artist and 2003 Guild Hall Lifetime Achievement Award recipient, as she curates an exhibition of alumni works. Other participating galleries hail from art hubs ranging from Palm Beach to Paris and from Brussels to Barcelona.
Last year, 21,000 collectors, curators and art enthusiasts attended Art Southampton.
